my topic

My topic is on my belief of how the U.S. government should use apprenticeships or internships more often as opposed to requiring that a college degree be required for most jobs because there are many people out there with great and applicable skilss that are lacking jobs yet the government chooses to look more favorably upon those with college degrees even though they might not be as skilled in their fields. I think that this is a little biased and sort of an unhealthy decision because titles are different than skills. Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't think that those who have been throught a good portion of schooling are any less qualified in the field they are entering and I know that schooling is sometimes necessary. I just think the government should test the skills of the person applying for the job as opposed to looking more favorably upon a degree because this might create an unfair advantage to those who have great skills but no degree.
